Sudden Cardiac Arrest

Yesterday it was around 2.15 in the morning, I was sleeping after a hard and tiring day. Suddenly the phone rang and I saw on my cell the name of my close friend Nicole flashing. My heart skipped a beat. I knew it had to be something serious otherwise she wouldn’t have disturbed me at this hour in the night. And as I had anticipated it was serious, it was Nicole who called up to say that her husband has had a sudden cardiac arrest and she is taking him to the nearest heart hospital. Luckily enough he got treatment on time and he is absolutely out of danger now.

But I kept thinking there may be so many people who do not have any kind of information about sudden cardiac arrest and do not know how to deal with it.

So just to help my blog members and friends I did some research to learn about how to handle this kind of situation till the patient reaches the hospital. I came across this Inside Cardiac Arrest presented by t. Jude Medical, it gives a detailed information on about the risk factors, warning signs, and treatment of Sudden Cardiac Arrest. It also has two videos, one on Sudden Cardiac Arrest and the other one gives us full details about the Human Heart.

I liked the videos it has definitely increased my knowledge to handle a sudden cardiac arrest.

I realized having knowledge is not enough we need to do something about these alarming situations. With stress levels increasing and good food in our diet reducing each day, we need to get more conscious about our lifestyle and fitness. Junk food, late nights and high pressure jobs are making us look like 40’s in our 30’s. We all need to get inclined to good food and fitness as early as possible.
