Dreams

Dreams. Happens to all of us. Some of us enjoy them, some don’t mind them and then there are the few who are troubled by dreams. What are dreams saying to us? Are they saying anything at all? Is it a figment of imagination …? It has been a topic of debate and research for centuries now.

There are many perspectives one can take; that dreams are an exaggeration of emotion, pure imagination, a new perspective, future forecasts among many more. Now what would you think of the aforementioned? Would you agree that any one or two of the mentioned define what dreams are? Truth really is they are all true. As true as the fact one human being is unique to another. They work very differently for one person than the next hence there has been no single theory on what dreams interpretation. Lets look at why.

Sleeping Postures Dreams are a manifestation of our thoughts. That said, what thoughts we mull upon generally get looked at in greater colour and detail in our dreams. Fears exaggerated, joy personified and confusion amplified. Many times when we wake up with an uncanny feeling that a certain incident is going to occur it is normally a logical conclusion reached by your intellect which knows all aspects of the scenario. Like till you logically realised 2+2 = 4. Something you might have been mulling over your mind resolves for you by looking at different perspective or estimates a different outcome to a familiar event. Which is why many times or most of the times what we dream doesn’t come true, it only creates possible outcomes to a known scenario. It’s like you can or cannot die tomorrow. Choose one, both are true and valid possibilities.

It very important to understand that how one goes to bed or wakes up. It can affect things quite thoroughly. A few suggestions to that are: Don’t take anxiety into bed with you, if you are anxious don’t go straight to bed, especially if you aren’t sleepy. When anxious exhaust yourself, go for a long jog, or hit the gym and then sleep. While waking up it is vital that one doesn’t jump out of bed hastily and bolt to the bathroom. Once you wake up take a moment, sit on the side, breathe, let your body metabolism and your mind come up to normal then start your day. People who follow this have had wonders happen just by going-to and getting-up from sleep properly.
